• What is the “My Account” button for?

  To register for courses, a parent needs to sign up for a registration account if  s/he doesn't have one already. Then the course registration is done through that account. By clicking the “My Account” button, parents can see the courses that they purchased on their account page.   AlphaStar Academy recently updated its course registration system and switched to the one that requires a registration account to be able to register a course. Parents who did course registrations before the update also need to sign up for an account since they were making registrations without an account. Before the update, parents were only having course accounts that they could see course related things such as their student progress. Note that this is not the course account. • What should I do to avoid multiple LMS accounts?

  Provide the same information during the registration for full name, DOB, email, high school graduation year.Popular

• Are the materials (lecture notes, homework, quizzes) printable/downloadable?

  (MATH) Lecture notes are in pdf format and can be downloaded. But the homework, quiz and exams are interactive and the solutions not in pdf format. (CS) All materials are online and mostly not in pdf format. If you would like to save them, you need to copy and paste from the screen.Popular

  For live courses, you should see the course in your LMS account a couple of days before the course starts. For live bundle courses (e.g., Part 1 and Part 2), each part will be added to your LMS account separately, a few days before the start of that specific part. It is normal for only the upcoming part to be visible initially. For self-study courses, you will see it as soon as you are registered. • When do I receive my account credential?

  For live courses, a couple of days before the course starts For self-study courses, as soon as you are registered. But if the self-study course is a new one or has a major update then the credentials will be provided a couple of days before the course starts.Few readers

• I don't want my child to turn on her camera during live sessions. What should I do?

• I can not login to my LMS account.

  If you forgot your username or password, you can retrieve them by clicking the “Forgotten your username or password?” link on the LMS login page (https://lms.alphastar.academy/). Your username and new password will be sent to the registered email address. Check your spam folder if you cannot find it in your email. • Are AlphaStar Academy courses accredited?

  Yes. AlphaStar Academy courses are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) as a Supplementary Education Program. Accreditation doesn't mean that you can skip the courses at your school. The schools have the final decision in accepting the courses for credit or not.Popular

• Can I use AlphaStar courses to skip courses in school?

• Are all the materials available for self-study courses when registered?
