# Are AlphaStar Academy courses accredited?

Yes. AlphaStar Academy courses are accredited by the [Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)](http://www.acswasc.org/) as a Supplementary Education Program.

Accreditation doesn't mean that you can skip the courses at your school. The schools have the final decision in accepting the courses for credit or not.
